Anxiety & Trauma Recovery

If you’ve been feeling trapped by constant worry, fear, panic, or overwhelming thoughts, please know that you’re not alone and relief is possible.

Over his years of practice, David has developed a special understanding of supporting individuals who are living with the impacts of trauma and anxiety. David views trauma holistically as having a direct impact on our physical (somatic), emotional (feelings), and psychological (thinking) experiences.

When someone experience a trauma, it often shatters an understanding of personal identity and how the outside world is viewed. The physical body stores unprocessed trauma within the emotions and psyche making it difficult to relax. It can feel like the world is an unsafe place to exist in. Parts of the internal landscape of emotions or memories can become too overwhelming to encounter after trauma, causing a fracturing within oneself.

Therapy can offer a space to begin unwinding the fear-based conditioning caused by trauma. Moving into the psyche and reintegrating the lost aspects of identity that have become alienated or fragmented after trauma. Creating new meaning from the wreckage that is representative of resilience, hope, and personal growth.

David approaches support by first helping individuals to develop a practical understanding of how symptoms of trauma and anxiety persist as part of the mind-body connection. He then tailors therapy sessions in ways that are intended to help clients recondition back towards an experience of inner safety and stillness.
