I’m a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist practicing virtually across Ontario and living in Toronto. Over the past decade, I’ve worked as a frontline social worker facilitating support in various hospital and community-based mental health agencies. My work is deeply inspired by my previous years of experience as a social worker supporting clients at end-of-life and their families in a hospice care setting. Throughout that time, I developed the capacity to journey alongside people experiencing some of life’s most intimate and vulnerable moments. I learned that even within immense grief and loss, there can exist great joy, healing, and liberation of the human heart. I now bring those lessons to help people in our community regain a sense of wholeness and peace, despite immense trauma or what might initially appear to be hopeless circumstances. Since my time as a hospice social worker, I have undergone deep study of various somatic and trauma-informed psychotherapy practices, learning how the mind and body are interconnected in the process of emotional healing. My work has also been greatly influenced by my doctoral research, which focused on understanding the connection between traumatic loss and homelessness. I recently completed my doctoral dissertation, with plans to fully complete the PhD program in January 2027. Prior to this, I completed my honours undergraduate degree in Biology and Psychology at Western University, followed by a Master of Social Work (MSW) at Wilfrid Laurier University—where I now teach as an adjunct instructor within the undergraduate and graduate programs. In addition to my doctoral work, I also currently serve as a Senior Manager for a team of mental health and addiction case managers throughout downtown Toronto.
